Cosmic Shambles LIVE brings a comedy, science and music maelstrom to New Zealand

Never experienced in NZ before the highly-anticipated sell-out UK roadshow – a captivating comedy, music and science showcase – is coming to our shores this April!

Cosmic Shambles LIVE bring their one-night-only tasting menu of witty stand-up, fascinating scientific explorations and big name musicians to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. This mind-blowing style of entertainment has exploded in the UK over the last decade – with audiences enthralled by the dynamic evening of laughter, discoveries, mystery guests, and live tunes.

Comedian and self-proclaimed ‘interested idiot’ Robin Ince will be hosting a growing line-up from the UK and NZ alongside comedian Josie Long. Cosmic Shambles LIVE are thrilled to announce top kiwi brain and celebrity scientist Dr Michelle Dickinson is joining the bandwagon with her exciting and edgy live experiments. In the comedy arena, Wellingtonian James Nokise is gearing up for a set that showcases his political satire and multicultural perspective. On top of this, multiple surprise guests, from the science, comedy and music realms, are jumping on board the wildly varied bill!

Plus, in the Shambles signature style, each city will be treated to tight music sets from some of Aotearoa’s top artists… Some mystery artists from the UK shows have included Duran Duran, The Cure, Ed Sheeran and from the comedy realm; Ricky Gervais, James Acaster and Tim Minchin!

And from the UK; the multiple award winning comedian and science populariser, Robin Ince is best known for co-hosting the smash hit, Sony Award and Rose D’Or winning BBC Radio 4 and podcast series, The Infinite Monkey Cage, with Professor Brian Cox. He’ll be joined by comedian Josie Long, who’s appeared in Skins, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Thank God You’re Here. The pair are also known for their co-hosting of popular podcast Book Shambles.

Also heading over from the UK are Matt Parker, astand-up mathematician’ known for Festival of the Spoken Nerd, and his appearances on Numberphile and the Discovery Channel, Dr Helen Czerski, a regular Landmark Series science presenter for the BBC, oceanographer and physicist, and Sky at Night’s Professor Lucie Green; one of the most respected solar scientists in the world!
