Another film-heavy episode, and this week Simon and Steve are in agreement about Dumbo, a heavyweight of a film that fails to take off. Daffodils, the new New Zealand film featuring the songs that Kiwis grew up with over the last few dozen years, is good, but not quite brilliant, while Us, the new Jordan Peele outing, has Simon treading very carefully to avoid spoilers for a quite rewarding cinematic outing.
There’s new music, too, and Hozier’s new album Wasteland, Baby is every bit as good as his debut record from a few years ago, and Steve and Simon both have some very positive things to say about it.
