PRINS has dropped a new pop banger ‘Stay Away’, which gives fans a taste of what’s to come on her debut EP.

A catchy, upbeat track with funk-infused undertones, ‘Stay Away’ was written as a ‘note to self’, explains Christchurch-based PRINS AKA Alannah Prins

“There are many times in our lives where we are consciously aware that we are making wrong choices but we continue to do so anyway,” she says. “This song is the trigger for me and a brutal reminder that I am in control and not to slip back into old habits.”

Written and produced by PRINS and long-time collaborator Timothy Heeringa in their studio in central Christchurch; and mixed and mastered by Tom Lee in Auckland, ‘Stay Away’ follows the single ‘Magnetic’ and makes way for PRINS’ debut EP, which is packed full of tracks designed to fill dance floors.

PRINS – who is a dancer, actor and model – kicked off 2020 with a bang, playing The Edge NYE Festival in Hagley Park in Christchurch and then Highlife’s sold-out Sunsetters Festival.

A sultry powerhouse, her music is described as a mix of Dua Lipa and Amy Winehouse. She’s tipped as an ‘act to watch in 2020’.
