Auckland’s North Shore will be visited by impressive prehistoric creatures large and small when the widely acclaimed show Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo™ roars onto the Bruce Mason Centre stage for five days from 26th-30th April.
In this truly immersive experience, families are invited to sit on the Bruce Mason stage to experience a new dimension of theatre. From cute baby dinosaurs to some of the largest carnivores and herbivores that have ever walked the planet, the show ranges from educational to fun and wildly hilarious on an expedition that will delight audiences young and young at heart.
Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo™ boasts a menagerie of dinosaurs and insects bought to life by sophisticated puppetry, design, electronics and theatrical presentation. The amazingly life-like recreations were developed in consultation with experienced paleontologists based on the most current fossil evidence! Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo™ brings with it a cast of ancient animals unique to Australasia for this event.
Erth has continually created live theatre at the forefront of new performance practice. Since its beginnings in 1990, the company provides audiences with eye popping visual experiences. Giant puppetry, stilt-walkers, and inflatable environments. Aerial and flying creatures are the company’s trademark and they have built an ever-increasing international reputation based on their exceptional work.
“This is very clever, beautifully constructed and hugely entertaining children’s entertainment from an outfit that implicitly respects its audience and doesn’t talk down to them.”
