Wellington’s Ben Hazlewood releases stunning new album, BLOODLINE

New Zealand-born artist, Ben Hazlewood, has launched his much-anticipated debut album BLOODLINE.

Ben Hazlewood is the rare artist with a voice dynamic enough to captivate almost completely on its own. As an anthemic alt-pop artist, raised on artists like Jim Morrison, David Bowie, Stevie Nicks, and Janis Joplin, his music channels an outrageous vocal strength and an emotive soul-filled force.

A force matched only by his magnetic stage presence and glam-rock-inspired fashion sensibilities, BLOODLINE is the culmination of years of hard work. A journey that started in Papakōwhai, near Wellington in New Zealand, then ventured to London for three years, where Ben fronted a rock band, before relocating to Australia, where Ben now calls Melbourne home. Past Highlights include; Billboard and Harper’s Bazaar, plus winning MTV’s ‘The Freshmen’ music video competition, featured performances at New York and London Fashion Week, and a nomination for an LGBTI Music Award in Australia.

“These songs are mine, but they’re yours,” Says Ben of the release. “BLOODLINE is my story, but I hope when you hear them that they inspire introspection into your own life.”

Ben’s debut album BLOODLINE (released May 22) is an album that allows a variety of listeners to connect regardless of their background, there is something for everyone. After 4 EP’s and countless singles, including the latest releases ‘Lying’ and ‘Lay Me Down’,BLOODLINE is the biggest release yet from the former ‘The Voice Australia’ Finalist.

New single ‘Lay Me Down’ is the perfect display of Ben and his new-found signature sound.
